What sets our preliminary research apart?
Not every company that wants to examine its history has its own archive with professional archivists or an overview of the existing archive materials. This means that the beginning of a study is a journey with many unknowns.
It would not be prudent to base a historical concept solely on theoretical considerations. It is possible that neither the ideas behind the content will stand up to implementation, nor that the next steps can be specified precisely without a better understanding of the sources. The time required, the qualification requirements of the experts and the costs could only be estimated – not a good starting point for reliable planning and well-founded offers.
Because we place great importance on commitment, we prefer to first thoroughly examine the sources and, where possible, obtain the majority of the files. On this basis, we can provide precise information about feasibility, as well as the content concept, scope, potential historians, time required and costs of a historical study.
What Is Scientific Work?
As a non-university research institution, we are committed to a scholarly approach to the study of economic, corporate, and contemporary history. The following principles apply to our work—regardless of the project:

Studies on Historical Analysis
- are produced according to a scholarly concept that meets the quality standards and methods of modern corporate historiography.
- address scholarly questions that situate the company’s history within its historical context.
- are authored by established (and experienced) scholars.
- take into account the current scholarly research literature.
- systematically evaluate all available sources and critically assess them in light of the scholarly research question.
- include a scholarly apparatus of notes that identifies sources and research literature.
- remain verifiable through the most comprehensive accessibility possible of the sources used.
- are always written with scholarly independence: The clients have no influence on the scholarly concept, research, or drafting of the studies.
Ongoing Preliminary Research
